Alphabet of sustainable development: the Social componentMokiy Vladimir, Director, Institute of Transdisciplinary Technologies (Russia), 2024 Lukyanova Tatiana, Lead specialist, Institute of Transdisciplinary Technologies (Russia), 2024 "Alphabet of sustainable development: the Social component" ABSTRACT: The paper presents the results of a systems transdisciplinary rethinking of the social component of sustainable development. The authors argues that the need for sustainable development arises at a certain level of socialization, when the formation of the structure of the “deep” elements of society ends in society: from the “deep” person to the “deep” people. These deep elements are the bearers of the standards of cultural codes and cultural models, legal and moral-ethical norms, environmental assumptions and rules of human behavior. Compliance with these standards in society is conditioned by the effectiveness of the existing world order, as well as a “deterrent factor” that prevents its violation. The paper describes the likely institutional changes in the structure of modern society associated with the new world order; provides a justification for the content of a new model of the world order; proposes a “Program for the prevention of global conflicts”, which will be carried out by specialists from various humanitarian disciplines; provides a justification for a new, non-violent “deterrence factor”. The paper invites experts to discuss with the authors on a number of issues presented in it. Global conflict: Analysis of Non-political Factors and Possible Non-violent Solutions in the Context of Sustainable DevelopmentMokiy Vladimir, Director, Institute of Transdisciplinary Technologies (Russia), 2024 ABSTRACT: The paper presents a novel approach to the analysis of non-political factors and potential non-violent solutions to global conflicts. The distinctive feature of this approach is its focus on habitual thinking (conventional wisdom) as a research subject, rather than on the human himself. Using the systems transdisciplinarity models, the construct of individual conventional wisdom was investigated. The study identified the main types of conventional wisdom and described the types of knowledge that underlie each individual’s worldview formation. Furthermore, the process of socialization through which individual conventional wisdom is integrated with the conventional wisdom of contemporary humanity was simulated. The findings of this study enabled elucidating the objective, non-political factors contributing to the global conflict associated with the completion of the first stage of socialization of the emerging Liberal society. The forthcoming changes in the new model of the world order were delineated, as was the necessity to create deterrents that will soon replace nuclear weapons. A proposal will be made to interested organizations, suggesting a joint undertaking of large-scale transdisciplinary research. The objective of this research is to establish a foundation for the attainment of non-violent solutions to the global conflict and the resolution of the problems associated with the sustainable development of humanity. Systems transdisciplinarity chair as pathway to fulfill global “Social Orders”Mokiy Vladimir, Director, Institute of Transdisciplinary Technologies (Russia), 2024 Systems transdisciplinarity chair as pathway to fulfill global ‘Social Orders. Abstract This paper shows how modern transdisciplinarity is developing into two main directions: ‘transdisciplinarity for scientific research’ as well as ‘transdisciplinarity for education’. These orientations have individual goals and objectives. The transdisciplinarity for scientific research helps to complete the transformation of the potential for interdisciplinary interaction and the integration of disciplines. Whereas transdisciplinarity for education develops in a wide range – from the formation of tolerance and pluralism in the worldview of students to the training of master’s students in a systems transdisciplinary discipline (metadiscipline) at a special university chair. The paper analyzes the reasons why the idea of a mobile transdisciplinary chair in 1997 was not widely adopted. In turn, a rationale is given that, for objective reasons, the idea of a classical transdisciplinary chair can be implemented in interested universities after 2026. On the question of the responsibility of universities for achieving the results of development and continuous self-renewal of the societyMokiy Vladimir, Director, Institute of Transdisciplinary Technologies (Russia), 2023 50 years ago, the term " wicked " problems appeared in science. At the beginning of the XXI st century, these problems have increased the negative impact on the general state and development of society. The article attempts to rethink insidious problems and determine the conditions for their solution. For this purpose, the connection between the appearance of insidious problems and the development of science and education is considered, and the responsibility of universities for achieving the results of development and constant self-renewal of a society attacked by wicked problems is justified. Manifesto for Systems Transdisciplinarity (2023-2030)Mokiy Vladimir, Director, Institute of Transdisciplinary Technologies (Russia), 2022 Lukyanova Tatiana, Lead specialist, Institute of Transdisciplinary Technologies (Russia), 2022 "Manifesto for systems transdisciplinarity (2023-2030)". ABSTRACT: It is suggested that the challenging problems of contemporary society have reached the peak of their negative effect. In such a situation, society faces a dilemma whether to enter the era of fatal social, anthropogenic and climatic disasters, or to overcome the narrow-minded thinking and follow the path of transforming society and forming a new civilization. It is assumed that the new civilization will be based on values in which the meanings of ancient wisdom are manifested. Similar statements have appeared before. However, today, their former declarative content should become conceptual, methodological, and technological. To achieve this goal, it is proposed to recognize that the period of transdisciplinary awareness and resolving complicated low-threshold and medium-threshold problems has been successfully completed. The authors declare the commencement of a new period – the period of systems transdisciplinary solution to complicated high-threshold problems of society, as well as describe the basic principles that underlay such a period. Sustainable Development of Nature and Society in the Context of a Systems Transdisciplinary ParadigmMokiy Vladimir, Director, Institute of Transdisciplinary Technologies (Russia), 2022 Lukyanova Tatiana, Lead specialist, Institute of Transdisciplinary Technologies (Russia), 2022 "Sustainable Development of Nature and Society in the Context of a Systems Transdisciplinary Paradigm" ABSTRACT: This paper attempts to substantiate the possibility of planning, forecasting, and managing the sustainable development of modern society. Disciplinary approaches have proven ineffective in addressing the complex issue of sustainable development. As a result, sustainable development turned out to be a group of concepts that reflect an idea that can be formulated in general terms. Therefore, it is important to show the possibility of solving this problem using a special scientific approach that has the necessary theoretical and practical capabilities. Prospects of Integrating Transdisciplinarity and Systems Thinking in the Historical Framework of Various Socio-Cultural ContextsMokiy Vladimir, Director, Institute of Transdisciplinary Technologies (Russia), 2022 Lukyanova Tatiana, Lead specialist, Institute of Transdisciplinary Technologies (Russia), 2022 ABSTRACT: During the 20th century, science generally advanced within a dual ideological context of capitalism and socialism. In capitalism, development of science has been of an evolutionary nature. However, it had been developing according to a revolutionary pattern within the framework of socialism. These two opposing ideologies were expected to achieve different scientific developments.
